Ciana Marie

The name Ciana means “enduring light” and acknowledges both my Sicilian and Irish roots. While my middle name, Marie, was the name carried by both of my Grandmothers and reminds me of how I arrived here.

Through mindful movement, intentional breathing, and energy work, “shine so bright” is an invitation to reconnect, to remember your brightest self.

About

Ciana has been in motion since a young age. After 15 years as a dancer she found yoga and has been practicing for over ten years. She completed her 200-Hour teacher certification at the Kripalu Center for Yoga with the intention of deepening her personal yoga practice, but quickly fell in love with teaching.

In the yoga studio Ciana’s teaching style is slow paced, focusing on integrating breath with asanas (postures) to improve overall health, build strength and deepen self-awareness.

As a yoga teacher, energy practitioner and breathwork facilitator, all of Ciana’s offerings are centered around compassionate self-inquiry, inspired by the teachings of Swami Kripalu who stated, “Self-observation without judgement is the highest form of spiritual practice.”

Whether it be on the mat or in a private session, self-compassion as a way into remembering your brightest self is at the heart of Ciana Marie's classes and offerings.

In addition to her passion for somatic practices, she has worked in the local food and farming sector for more then eight years, and holds great reverence for the Stockbridge-Munsee Mohican Land (Berkshires, Massachusetts), she was born, raised and lives on.

When she isn’t practicing yoga, or breathing, you can find her dancing, hiking and creating nourishing meals with local foods.
